Another of the early works for which little information is available, that has been in private hands for decades, and for which no decent image is to be found. These are included as they are a record of Vincent's work and are verified through the provenance of sales and transfers of the work, but sadly add little joy and appreciation to lovers of van Gogh's work. In his letters Vincent mentions many of the works done about this time but there seems to be no direct reference to this particular painting.
